HAVE YOU OBTAINED YOUR CITIZENSHIP?

Learning the culture, language, dressing, and eating the food or living in the country of a people group never makes you a citizen of that country. The rights and privileges reserved strictly for the citizens of that country would never be yours, no matter how long you have lived in their country or how well you speak their language, if you are not yet a citizen of such country. Every country has requirements that must be met to acquire citizenship. Until these requirements are met, one never becomes a citizen of such country.

The same applies to the Kingdom of God. Learning the language of the Kingdom, living in and attending church services regularly, working in the church, dressing like a believer, no matter how long you do it, it will NEVER make you a citizen of heaven. If you would become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, you must obtain your citizenship by BIRTH.

Yes, you must be born again. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:3,5). The word of God is water that cleanses a man. Therefore, you must accept what God’s word says about Jesus and place your faith in Him and His Word. Salvation is found in no one else except Jesus (Acts 4:12). Believe what God’s word says about sin and the provision made available through Jesus Christ for deliverance from sin. Sin is not fun; it is deadly and anyone who calls the name of the Lord must depart from sin/iniquity (2 Tim. 2:19). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ was made manifest; He died, was buried and rose again to save you and I from sin (Matt. 1:21; 1 John 3:8). Confess your sin to Him today, believe that He died for you and rose again to set you free completely from sin, repent and turn a new leaf.

Be born of the Spirit; allow the Holy Spirit to be in control of your life. You are no longer to live for yourself but for Christ (2 Cor. 5:15). Let Him change the way you think, talk, act, etc. As you yield to Him daily, you won’t gratify the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). When you accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour, you will be bold to say with Paul the Apostle that “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior” (Philippians 3:20).

Obtain your citizenship NOW by coming to Jesus today. His arms are wide open to receive you. Invite Jesus into your heart to stay FOREVER, never to leave.
